HYTORC NUT

The HYTORC NUT is a 3-part tensioning system for extremely difficult applications. The special construction lets the bolt move with the inner sleeve without side loads, torsion or reaction because the nut does not turn on the flange surface. The bolts are 100% mechanically tensioned. The solution combines the best features of bolt tensioning with hydraulic torque wrench usage. The method is in use on many critical applications from nuclear reactors to turbines and above all where ever time usage in bolting operations needs to be minimized.

GALL-FREE NUT

In industry, seizures are an expensive by-product caused by high friction, temperatures and side loads. HYTORC Gall Free Nut is the new anti-galling technology in a standard hex nut. The new Gall Free Nut thread design eliminates metal transfer that may occur in fasteners without lubrication and increased friction over extended time periods. This technology counters the galling effect of plastic deformation and micro-scale material transfer at the thread surfaces that occur during assembly.
